Openly requires information about the dwelling's Primary Use occupancy to generate a quote. This is a selection on the Interview Tab.
Agents should select the most applicable option from the list below:
Primary (HO-5 form) | A main residence is occupied by the owner a majority of the time. |
Secondary (HO-5 form) | A secondary residence is a property regularly occupied by the insured and used throughout the year in addition to the primary residence located elsewhere. |
Seasonal (HO-5 form) | A seasonal residence is a secondary residence with continuous unoccupancy of three or more consecutive months during any one-year period. |
Rental (HO-3 form) | This is a residential property owned by the insured that does not serve as the insured's primary residence and is rented to others for six or more months of the year. |
Openly’s Home-sharing Endorsement provides certain coverages for Airbnb / VRBO-type activities at a dwelling for a portion of the year (subject to state-specific guidelines). Select this option on the Coverage Tab when quoting. Learn more about home-sharing for HO-5 and HO-3.
Openly does not have an appetite for the following occupancy types:
