Medical Payments to Others (Coverage F)

Medical Payments to Others, known as Coverage F, covers necessary medical expenses for individuals who are not insured by the homeowners’ policy, if they are injured on a property or due to the insured’s activities.

Because Coverage F is automatic, it is not customizable within the portal and will not be displayed.

Coverage

Medical Payments coverage is automatically included with all policies at a standard limit of $10,000. This coverage amount is fixed and cannot be changed, increased, or removed.

Key features of this coverage include:

  • No-Fault Coverage: It pays out regardless of fault to help quickly resolve minor injuries and prevent potential lawsuits.
  • Timeline: It covers necessary medical expenses for up to three years from the date of the accident.
  • Eligible Situations: It applies to guests who have permission to be on the insured location, or injuries occurring off-premises caused by the actions of an insured person (or a pet).

The above is meant as general information. This information does not modify any provisions, limitations, or exclusions expressly stated in any insurance policy. Descriptions of all coverages and other features on this page are necessarily brief; in order to fully understand the coverages and other features of a specific insurance policy, we encourage you to read the applicable policy. Whether an accident or other loss is covered is subject to the terms and conditions of the actual insurance policy or policies involved in the claim. References to general claims handling steps, average or typical premiums, amounts of losses, deductibles, costs of coverages/repair, etc., are illustrative and may not apply to your situation.
