Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Notices

When you enter information into the Applicant tab, Openly uses third-party vendors to gather credit and loss history reports. These reports help us determine a client's eligibility and, most importantly, directly impact their final pricing. If the information from a report causes a higher premium or causes the quote to be declined (known as an "adverse action"), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires us to notify the applicant. This notification is called an FCRA Notice.

FCRA Letter Recipients

An FCRA notice is automatically sent to the primary applicant whenever an adverse action occurs.

If a client has questions about the information in the reports that impacted their rate or eligibility, they must contact the reporting agencies directly to review or dispute their records. Openly cannot alter or see the specific details inside these consumer reports.
