How Do I Select a Home's Roof Shape?

On the Property Review tab in the Portal, an agent will input the shape of the roof for the main dwelling.

Complex

A complex arrangement of slopes, gables, and hips or truncated (terraced, cut) to minimize the overall height.

Flat

A flat roof is almost level in contrast to the many sloped roofs.

Gable

A gabled roof consists of two roof sections sloping in opposite directions and placed such that the highest horizontal edges meet to form the roof ridge.

Gambrel

A gambrel or gambrel roof is a symmetrical two-sided roof with two slopes on each side.

Hip

A hip roof, hip-roof, or hipped roof is a type of roof where all sides slope downwards to the walls, usually with a relatively gentle slope.

Shed

A shed roof is one or more single-pitched roof(s) commonly set at a steep pitch.
