Agents can easily generate new quotes and download quote proposals within the Agent Portal.
All information provided during the quoting process must be true, complete, and accurate. Applicants must be natural persons; legal entities are not eligible for quote creation. Submitting inaccurate or incomplete information may adversely affect policy eligibility, alter premium rates, or result in policy cancellation. If any errors or discrepancies are identified prior to policy issuance, a new quote must be created using verified details.
Creating a New Quote
To begin quoting, log in to your account and follow these steps:
-
Click + New Client Quote in the top right header.
-
Enter the required applicant and property details. If the auto-populated address does not match the physical address, select Can't Find Address to enter it manually.
SSN Verification Prompts
Quotes standardly require only the applicant's name, date of birth, and address. If vendor reports cannot match this data—often due to minor typos, common names, recent name changes, or new construction—the system will request the last four digits of the SSN.
- If details were entered incorrectly: Start a new quote, as saved inputs cannot be edited.
- If details are correct: Enter the last four digits of the applicant's SSN.
- If the applicant lacks an SSN: Enter 0000 (reserved exclusively for non-SSN holders, such as foreign citizens). This processes the application without matching background records, which may affect pricing.
- Click Create Quote
Reviewing Property Details & Underwriting Questions
Although Openly's data vendors automatically prefill key property attributes and other features, agents must review all application details with the customer to ensure accuracy. Always double-check all information prior to binding. Updating any variables may result in changes to the Replacement Cost Estimate (RCE), premium rates, and policy status in real-time.
Downloading & Printing a Quote Proposal
Once a quote is generated, save or print an official PDF copy of the Quote Proposal.
-
Navigate to the bottom right of the New Quote box.
- Click Download Quote Proposal to generate a printable PDF document.
Note: Pricing and coverage estimates remain subject to change until the policy is bound and all details are confirmed. Quotes expire after 45 days, while quote proposals remain valid for 30 days.
