Will Openly Accept Historical Homes?

On the Property Review tab in the Portal, an agent is asked about unconventional homes. Historical Homes or homes with historical perseverance count as unconventional and are not within Openly’s appetite.

Homes on a historic registry are officially recognized on a local, state, or national landmark registry. These homes may also have specific restrictions on repairs and upgrades to the structure. If a house is on a historical registry, regardless of any rebuilding or renovation restrictions, the quote will result in a Does Not Qualify outcome that cannot be overridden.

Historical preservation refers to the approval process required for any exterior alterations or repairs, new construction, or demolition within a historic preservation-zoned neighborhood.
