What's the Onboarding Process for Future Transverse States?

With Transverse as a fronting partner for specific states, Openly requires agencies and agents to be appointed with that state’s Department of Insurance (DOI) per regulatory requirements. If your agency has not completed the onboarding process with us, you are always welcome to reconnect and complete it at your convenience.

Our Operational Support team will email the requesting agency a form if the agency has completed the pre–appointment process with Openly. The Agency Principal or Personal Lines Manager can complete the emailed form with the information below and any state-specific details as required.

To become appointed with a state's DOI, agencies are asked to provide the following information:
  • Legal Name
  • NPN
  • Agency Street
  • Agency City
  • Agency State
  • Agency Zip
For each licensed and Openly-credentialed user within the agency, we ask for the following personnel information:
  • First Name
  • Middle Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Business Email
  • Residence Street
  • Residence City
  • Residence State
  • Residence Zip

We recognize the importance of a smooth onboarding process. Depending on their workload, DOI approvals can take anywhere from one to ten business days.
