This optional endorsement provides additional protection if a covered loss results in a full roof replacement on the insured dwelling. When this coverage is included on the policy, it helps pay to upgrade the replacement roof to a FORTIFIED Roof™ With Hail Supplement standard, which is a roofing system designed and certified by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) using enhanced, impact-resistant materials and construction techniques.
The coverage applies only when the roof must be fully replaced due to a covered loss and will pay up to the endorsement limit shown on the policy to support the upgrade and required inspections.
