How Do I Answer the Canceled Insurance Status Question?

This question refers to any homeowners, condo, or renters policy from the previous 36 months. Select the option that best applies based on the definitions below:

  • No: All policies remained active and were only canceled at the Applicant's request.
  • Cancelled, fell behind on payments: The Applicant had a homeowners, condo, or renters policy canceled for non-payment.
  • Cancelled, too many claims: The Applicant's previous carrier canceled their homeowners, condo, or renters policy due to claim frequency within the carrier's experience period.
  • Cancelled, the carrier exited the area: The Applicant's previous carrier withdrew from the market and no longer insures risks in the area.
  • Cancelled, other: The Applicant's homeowners, condo, or renters policy was canceled for any other reason.
