How Do I Answer the Canceled Insurance Status Question?

Please select the most applicable option according to the definitions below:

  • No: All policies have remained active and were only canceled per the Applicant’s request.
  • Yes, fell behind on payments: Applicant has had a policy canceled for non-payment within the last 36 months.
  • Yes, too many claims: Applicant’s previous carrier(s) canceled the policy due to the frequency of claims within the carrier’s experience period.
    Yes, the carrier exited the area: Applicant’s previous carrier(s) decided to withdraw from the market and no longer insure risks in the area. 
  • Yes, other: Any other reason that the Applicant’s homeowners policy was canceled.
