Integrating PL Rating™ from Vertafore®

PL Rating™ is currently available for Openly in the following states:

Browser compatibility

Important: Do not use Internet Explorer for this process. The Openly Agent Portal is optimized for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

 

Part One: Generate Your Openly Access Key

You must generate a unique key for each agent to associate with their specific credentials.

  1. Log in to the Openly Agent Portal.
  2. Select Settings by clicking your profile picture in the upper right.

  3. Select the Raters & IVANS tab. 

     

  4. Under the Vertafore® header, click Generate Key

  5. An Access Key Created box will appear.

Warning: Do not close this box until you have copied the Access Key. If the box is closed prematurely, you must click Delete Key and generate a new one.

 

Part Two: Configure PL Rating™

Once you have your key, switch to the PL Rating™ platform to complete the connection.

  1. Open PL Rating™ and navigate to the Manage Passwords section.
  2. Locate and select Openly from the carrier list. 

     

  3. Enter your credentials:
    • Username: Enter the email address used for your Openly account.
    • Password: Paste the Access Key copied from the Openly Portal.
    • Agency Code: Enter any numeric value, as requested by PL Rating™. Do not leave blank. 
       

       

  4. Click Save. Your rater should show Openly as enabled for rating. Green means you're able to begin quoting.

 

Additional Support

  • Adding carriers: If you need help adding Openly to your carrier list within the rater, please refer to Adding carrier credentials in PL Rating™.
  • Technical support: Because this integration involves third-party software, the Openly Customer Experience Team has limited visibility. If the steps above do not resolve your issue, please contact your Agency Admin or Vertafore® Support.
