This endorsement is not designed for traditional bed and breakfasts (B&Bs); we do not accept multi-family homes, except in Connecticut. To learn more about the homes we will accept, follow this article.

The options to select for this endorsement are as follows:

  • Yes
  • No

This endorsement will:

  • Extend coverage for Bodily Injury or Property Damage arising from the rental
  • Extend Coverage B (Other Structures) used for home-sharing
  • Extends Landlord Furnishing Coverage to home-sharing activities (limit of $2,500)
  • Allow for Coverage D (Loss of Use) in cases where home-sharing contracts are canceled due to official hurricane warnings issued by the National Weather Service

Without this endorsement, the standard Openly homeowner policy will restrict certain coverages when a policyholder is engaged in home-sharing activities.

This endorsement is only effective for new business quotes and renewal offers generated after the endorsement goes live in the state.
