Updating Payment Method

Agents can update a policy's payment method within the Agent Portal. Updates to billing details take effect once the change endorsement is finalized.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Search for the policy and click View

  2. Select Policy Actions, then click Change Endorsement

  3. Select the Effective Date for the change and click Create

  4. Navigate to the Billing tab and choose the preferred payment method: Direct Bill, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Credit Card, or Mortgage Escrow.
  5. If selecting EFT or Credit Card, enter the required account details in the pop-up window, click Continue, then proceed to the Review tab.
  6. Review the summary of proposed changes and click Issue

  7. Select View Documents to access the updated policy documentation.

Payment Guidelines & Requirements

  • Authorization Forms: Selecting EFT or Credit Card automatically sends a Payment Authorization Form to the policyholder. Premium payments require a signed authorization matching the payment details before drafting. If you need a physical document, find instructions in our Payment Authorization Form article.
  • Processing Fees: Credit and debit card payments are processed through One, Inc. and incur a 2.99% processing fee.
  • Making a Payment: Updating the payment method on file does not process an immediate premium payment.
  • Mailing Addresses: To view standard and overnight mailing addresses for Direct Bill or Mortgage Escrow payments, visit our Payment Address article.
