Third-Party Designee is someone the policyholder names to receive important policy notifications—such as pre-cancellation, cancellation, or non-renewal notices. This role is for trusted individuals who help the policyholder but have no insurable interest in the property. Designees can ask about billing, status, and cancellations, but cannot change or cancel the policy. This designation only grants notification rights and provides no coverage or legal protection. This option should not be selected for parties needing proof of insurance (e.g., mortgagees or additional insureds).
