Payment Methods

Openly requires valid payment information at the time of binding for all new policies to issue coverage.

Agents can send a one-time ePay link by text or email, or click Pay Now in the agent dashboard under Billing.

Once a payment is submitted via EFT or Credit Card, the Agent Portal can take up to an hour to reflect the policy as “Paid.” During this brief window, the Pay Balance button may still appear, but no further action is required.

Note: Openly does not offer premium financing (except in South Carolina) or monthly installment plans when making premium payments.

Accepted Payment Methods at Binding

To bind a policy, select one of the three approved payment methods below.

1. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Openly withdraws funds directly from the policyholder’s bank account through our payment processing partner, One, Inc.

  • Authorization: The policyholder must authorize the transaction verbally with their agent during the quote process, followed by written authorization post-issuance.
  • Fees: One, Inc. does not charge a service fee for EFT transactions.

2. Credit Card

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, via One, Inc.

  • Processing fee: One, Inc. charges a 2.99% service fee for credit card payments. This fee is added to the total charged at the time of the transaction and is not reflected in the policy premium. Openly cannot waive this service fee.

3. Mortgagee Billed (Escrow)

Select this option if the policyholder’s mortgage lender will pay the premium.

  • New Business: Once the policy is issued, Openly sends an invoice to the listed mortgage lender. Payment is due within 30 days of the policy’s effective date.
  • Renewals: Renewal invoices are mailed to the lender 60 days before the renewal date and are due on the renewal date.
  • There is no service fee for mortgagee-billed policies.

As of July 22, 2026, direct bill is no longer available as an initial payment option at bind.

Direct Bill

Direct bill is available for new business, renewals, and endorsements. When a policy is on direct bill, the policyholder receives an invoice via mail or email with the amount due and the due date. Payments made by check must be remitted within 20 days to either of these addresses:

  • Mailing Address

    Openly LLC

    P.O. Box 735001

    Dallas, TX 75373-5001

  • Overnight Mailing Address

    JPMorgan Chase (TX1-0029)

    Attn: Openly Inc. & Lockbox # 735001

    14800 Frye Road, 2nd Floor

    Ft Worth, TX 76155

Please allow up to two weeks for mailed check payments to be received and processed.

Existing Direct Bill Quotes

  • Existing Quotes: For any quotes created where direct bill was previously selected, the Agent Portal prompts you to select a new valid payment method (EFT, Credit Card, or Mortgage Escrow) before you can bind the policy.
  • No Auto-Defaults: Previously, deleting a mortgage entry automatically defaulted the system to direct bill. The portal no longer does this. If mortgage information is removed, you must manually select a new valid payment method.
